Giuseppe Arcimboldo Activity
I have done some research about Giuseppe (i dont even know how to say it!) and i have decided to make some fruit and vegetable creations. I have done one online, i had alot of trouble finding images without background. I decided to make a cheeky monkey, i used a coconut for the head, banana for the mouth, strawberrys and olives for the eyes and seashells for ears. I also used a raddish for the nose. This was alot trickier then i thought - it was easy to think of ideas but it was very time consuming and hard to get them to look good on the page.
If i had more time i would have created a queen with seashell crown, spagetti hair and a pearl necklace out of blueberrys, I may still do this out of real food.
ReplyDeleteKia Ora Mila,
My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.
I think you introduced and explained the activity well and it is great to hear your opinion on Giuseppe and his art. I agree that he was a very creative thinker and he had an awesome impact on the art scene.
I think your fruit and veg art looks awesome and it was a great idea to create yours online as that gave you a wider range of options in terms of fruit and veg to use. Your art looks bright and happy and I love the banana smile!
Happy Holidays, Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
Ngā mihi nui,
Zana Yates
Kia ora Mila!

I really like your Giuseppe art! I thought it was funny that you used a coconut for the head because my Mum calls my head a coconut! If you made it again what other fruits would you use?

Hi Mila,
ReplyDeleteI love this! You have been so creative. You said you find it hard to find pictures without back grounds but if you find a picture you like you can remove the background by going to www.remove.bg you can then put your picture into that it will remove the background for you.
Thanks once again for sharing and I can't wait to see you soon.
Regards,
Mrs B.
