- They have lots of interesting animals like, the koala, platypus, kangaroo and snakes.
- They have a large coral reef, The Great Barrier Reef. It is the biggest in the world.
- It is the 6th largest country in the world by area.
- The 2000 Olympics were held in Sydney.
- They have lots of deserts because it is a very hot country.
- My Aunty Hannah works in the Australian Desert
- One city in Australia e.g Sydney has as many people as the whole of NZ!
- They had wildfires.

Dear Mia
I am going on holiday to Australia, i will be staying in Melbourne because it is somewhere i have always wanted to visit. I will be there for a whole week and i am flying there. Would you like to join me? i will pay for your plane ticket with my money.
In Melbourne, i would like to go to the Melbourne Zoo, go to the Australian Tennis open and do some shopping. I am also thinking of flying to the Gold Coast and going to all the theme parks. I really want to go to Sea World to swim with the dolphins and go to Movie World.
We are not going to invite my sisters or Jack, it is a girls only trip with no parents. We will have to change our watches because they are in a different time zone.
