8 interesting facts about Australia

1.  They have lots of interesting animals like, the koala, platypus, kangaroo and snakes.
2. They have a large coral reef, The Great Barrier Reef. It is the biggest in the world.
3. It is the 6th largest country in the world by area.
4. The 2000 Olympics were held in Sydney.
5.   They have lots of deserts because it is a very hot country. 
6.  My Aunty Hannah works in the Australian Desert
7.  One city in Australia e.g Sydney has as many people as the whole of NZ!
8. They had wildfires.

Creative Writing

Dear Mia

I am going on holiday to Australia, i will be staying in Melbourne because it is somewhere i have always wanted to visit.  I will be there for a whole week and i am flying there. Would you like to join me?  i will pay for your plane ticket with my money. 

In Melbourne, i would like to go to the Melbourne Zoo, go to the Australian Tennis open and do some shopping. I am also thinking of flying to the Gold Coast and going to all the theme parks. I really want to go to Sea World to swim with the dolphins and go to Movie World. 

We are not going to invite my sisters or Jack, it is a girls only trip with no parents. We will have to change our watches because they are in a different time zone.
